Our Story

Dylan is a happy, energetic 11-year-old who is about to finish 5th grade. Born with Down Syndrome and more recently diagnosed with autism, Dylan's journey began with remarkable strength, he faced two open-heart surgeries before his first birthday. Over the years, he has navigated countless medical and therapy appointments with courage and perseverance. Through it all, Dylan has truly flourished. With the support of programs like UAF and the community around him, he has grown into a thriving kid who lights up every room. He treasures his family, friends, and neighbors, and can often be found happily lost in his favorite video games. Dylan's story is one of resilience, joy, and heart, in every sense of the word.
