Jonathan was born with Down syndrome 11 years ago. We spent the next three years in and out of the hospital for a variety of things. Jonathan was a fighter, with a spirit that filled any room we were in, which surprised me when I looked at his tiny body for his age. Fast forward to 5th grade: he is learning letters, numbers, and how to read and write. He is learning to run, ski, do gymnastics, swim and play basketball and soccer. He loves to try new things and to do things HIMSELF! We love him immensely! He teaches us how to love and forgive unconditionally. Jonathan is our little HERO!
