Hi there!  We are team Huddy’s Buddies - named after our 4 year old son, Hudson, who has Down syndrome.

Our story started when we found out through a prenatal blood test that Hudson had a 95% chance of having Down syndrome.  At 18 weeks, we discovered that he also had a congenital heart defect that would need to be repaired after birth.

Hudson was born in December 2020 and spent 8 days in the NICU before coming home on oxygen.  He had heart surgery at 5 months old to repair his congenital heart defects - a complete AVSD and mild Tetralogy of Fallot.  He spent another 8 days recovering in the hospital and was on oxygen at home for a couple of months.

Since then, Hudson has been growing and thriving.  He is the youngest of 5 children and his older brothers and sister completely adore him.  He is the little star of our family and loves being the center of attention.

Hudson loves balls, books and music.   He enjoys learning at preschool, playing soccer and taking swimming lessons.  He is an avid traveler and loves new adventures.
