Our sweet angel, Liam, is 10 years old! Liam was born with Down syndrome, and little did we know before he was born what a blessing it is to have a child with special needs in our home. He was born with cataracts, so at 2 months old the removed his lenses and he wore contacts for about a year and now wears glasses. He wears his glasses really good. He's had a hole in his heart (ASD) that was repaired a couple of years ago he has done amazing! He's a very active, busy little boy. Liam is the happiest little boy who loves Paw Patrol, Spiderman Roblox basketball, swimming, swings, the bus and his siblings. He loves going to swimming lessons each week at the Swimmin' Hole.
Liam goes to school at Highland Elementary and loves going to school with his siser and friends.
We are so grateful for the United Angels Foundation in our life. When we first got the diagnosis, it was such a great group to connect me to some of my closest friends who understand what it is like to raise a child with special needs. Both the joys and the hard parts. It's also been wonderful for my other children because through the donations at this walk, they are able to provide activities for our whole family to enjoy doing together. And now that Liam is entering the education world, I have loved the seminars and conferences UAF puts together to help me be better educated and be a better advocate for Liam. Thank you United Angels!
